I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you.
This day is designed for frequent meditation. This doesn't have to be all at once. In fact, when we turn it over and over again in our minds, it begins to find its way into our hearts, which eventually changes the way we live.
This is the point of meditating on scripture and that's why we focus one day every week on it.
Ask yourself the question, "What does this mean for my life?" And, "What do I need to change?"
Try breaking down every word for examination. For example, what does Jesus intend us to understand with the word "leave?" How does it relate to the idea of us being orphans? How will Jesus come to us? Is this a promise we now live in or is it something to come?
