In love he chose us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.
This day is designed for frequent meditation. This doesn't have to be all at once. In fact, when we turn it over and over again in our minds, it begins to find its way into our hearts, which eventually changes the way we live.
This is the point of meditating on scripture and that's why we focus one day every week on it.
Ask yourself the question, "What does this mean for my life?" And, "What do I need to change?"
Try breaking down every word for examination. For example, what does the Apostle Paul intend us to understand with the word "chose," or "predestined," as some translations use? What significance did the concept of adoption hold for the original audience of this letter to the believers in Ephesus?
